Jaakkola Architects was founded in 1985 by the name Arkkitehtitoimisto Hannu Jaakkola. Jaakkola Architects cooperates with Finland’s leading construction companies and employs over twenty architects and designers. The objective of the work is to achieve architectonically high-level solutions, that are well functioning, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious. Besides sustainable development and positive environmental impact, the company aims to create interesting city spaces and use land efficiently as well as to design buildings that are functional. Our aim is to make first-rate architecture, that takes into account the humane scale.
Competition success
Our competition success indicates, that we have successfully put together a skilled work community sharing the same professional skills and ambition towards architecture. We have reached awards in over 40 architectural competitions and first prizes in 34 competitions.
